About Mull Pottery.

Mull Pottery is a family run pottery business located in Tobermory, Isle of Mull, established in 1975 by the late Pete ‘The Potter’ Walker.

Having initially taken up pottery in high school, and training under a master potter in Japan, Peter started Mull Pottery in a small outhouse behind the Mishnish Hotel.

As the demand for his pottery grew, Pete relocated the workshop to bigger premises on the outskirts of Tobermory, and expanded to include a shop on the Main Street.

Over years of experimenting with glazes, the designs of Mull Pottery changed, but the iconic Seashore & Iona ranges, inspired by the colours and landscapes of the West Coast, were his most popular.

Sadly, Peter passed away in 2024. However, his legacy lives on, as his son and daughter Rory and Kerrie have continued Mull Pottery, maintaining the signature shapes and colours loved by both locals and visitors to Mull.

All pottery is hand thrown, glazed and fired at the studio in Baliscate, and can be purchased either at the studio shop or from the shop on Tobermory Main Street.
